Yeeellloooowwww Cardinals ! FTW !

Here in CavSci, August is the month for intramural, rivalries of different sides and competition. Intramurals give us rush and excitement, for we defend our own teams. But Intrams is not just about competitions and rivalries; it is also about cooperation, humility, responsibility and respect. Each of us chose our own perspective choice of sport while others just chose to be a medic. Well to be honest, medic’s job is not that easy, you need to be alert and go rounds to look for accidents and injuries. But I am not one of them. As usual, like last year’s intrams I joined Mass Demo and Volleyball.

Each year level had their own insignia but it differs every year. This year’s intrams has a theme of different universities in the Philippines. For the Grade 7 or should we call freshmen, they are the Green Tamaraws. For Grade 8 or sophomores, they are the Yellow Cardinals. Then Red Lions for the 3rd years or Juniors and lastly Blue Falcons for the Seniors or 4th years.
Our intrams should have been three days but it was decided to be for only 2 days. I think teachers did that because they’re just concern to us. We will be exhausted for two days and we need to go back to school on Saturday. Then, we will just have Sunday for our rest. So I think they made a good decision to make it just only for two days. But still, many students were disappointed because of those changes.
Even everyone was exhausted they still continue to battle their opponents even they were under the burning sun. Everyone showed their best in every sport they joined. I want to congratulate everyone for having a successful intramurals especially to the YSC Club.

We felt like we will not be ranked lowest anymore because there is the Grade 7’s that will take over that place. Last Year we ranked 2nd and this year we ranked 2nd, again. Yes, we are Second again. But lose or win we still appreciate everyone’s efforts. There are no severe injuries and God gave us those days with a peaceful weather, so we thank God for everything.
