The
K to 12 Program, there are many questions circling around my head when I heard
this, like “Is our government ready for this?”, “Will it really help to improve
the quality of education in the Philippines?” and the most important question
is “Is it really the solution for poverty or it will just make it worse?”. Those
are just a few questions I thought.
I
think they shouldn’t start this program yet. It is too early for it. One reason
is there are schools that still lack in desks, tables and classrooms. They
should invest it first for those things rather than for this program. They
should give more time not only for the teachers but also for the students and
parents to prepare for it. What about the modules for each class they promised?
We still receive nothing. I think they just added new problems. It is not I don’t
trust our government but I’m just pointing out what they should do first.
I’m
just one of those students criticizing this program. Maybe it will help many
people but how about the others? Will it be successful? Maybe someday but it
will take time. We just need to be patient and see what will be the results.
